Tobi King is a dedicated advocate and communicator committed to empowering the University of Florida’s alumni community. Serving as the Vice President of Communications for the University of Florida Association of Black Alumni, she brings a wealth of experience and a passion for fostering connections and amplifying diverse voices. Hailing from the island of Jamaica, she passionately contributes to UFABA’s mission, leveraging her creativity and strategic acumen to elevate the narratives and achievements of Black and Caribbean alumni.

Tobi envisions UFABA as a catalyst for transformation and unity, aiming to build inclusive networks that celebrate the rich diversity and shared legacy of UF’s Black alumni. With over 20 years of experience in tourism marketing and hospitality management, she specializes in driving growth through strategic planning, marketing, and operational improvements. Tobi’s proficiency extends to digital media, where she leads projects in web design, branding, and social media management for various clients.

Looking ahead, Tobi is eager to leverage her skills and passion to enhance alumni engagement, foster deeper connections, and amplify the impact of UFABA’s initiatives. She aims to implement innovative communication strategies that resonate with alumni across generations, ensuring their voices are heard and celebrated within the Gator community. Tobi’s goal is to strengthen UFABA’s role as a vibrant platform for alumni empowerment and advocacy, driving forward a legacy of excellence and inclusivity at the University of Florida.
