Tiara Moten

President Elect

Tiara Moten (BA ‘09, MBA ‘17) is the Director of Global Care Operations for T-Mobile US in Tampa, FL.  Tiara has been pursuing her mission, since childhood: to serve as a leader to many, while sharing her story and experiences to inspire others, more specifically -women of color to realize their dreams. Often being the first, only, and different (FOD), Tiara leverages her experiences to build and lead strong teams focusing on an inclusive culture that heavily promotes innovation through diverse perspectives.

This intentional thought-leadership philosophy coupled with Tiara’s strong work ethic and desire to deliver exceptional results has allowed for her to fluidly transition throughout various leadership roles in telecommunications, chemical-manufacturing, and entrepreneurship.

In 2008, Tiara launched a small-independent logistics brokerage, and within the first 2 years, created a quarter-million-dollar logistics portfolio with exclusive agreements with national beverage and produce suppliers.  In 2011, Tiara leveraged her supply chain management skills and her educational studies; and landed herself into an entry-level logistics role with the world’s leading phosphate fertilizer producer (Mosaic Co.). 

Tiara spent six years with Mosaic Co., receiving several promotions and accolades. She joined the University of Florida Professional 1-year MBA program in spring of 2016. Studying at Hough Graduate School of Business opened Tiara’s eyes on how-to accelerate adding value to organizations, but it also magnified the value within herself that had not been unleashed. Intimate support from graduate career advisors and faculty created an intersection for Tiara to seek out a career that would not only challenge her to deliver great results, but to also fulfill her purpose- to lead and inspire others to maximize their potential.

Tiara joined T-Mobile’s Leaders to Executive (L2E) program in 2017. She took the platform of an accelerated executive development program to serve her mission as a leader. Tiara has led several large teams in customer service and retail markets across the US, while delivering best-in-class results and promoting many along the way.  In March 2020, she completed the L2E program ahead of schedule and was promoted to Director of Customer Care Operations in South Carolina. She was promoted again to Global Care Operations in 2021 where she creates the foundational learning and ongoing leadership development for over15,000 global employees responsible for T-Mobile’s customer service operation. At the end of 2023, Tiara was tapped on the shoulder to lead the Southeast Account Management team as the director for Metro by T-Mobile. Tiara is an advent member of the DE&I engine at T-Mobile. She’s the active co-chair for Women’s Allies Network for the entire organization and trusted erg co-chair advisor to the VP of DE&I.

Since returning to her hometown and community, Tiara has reignited her devotion to unlock the potential of others through education and service starting at her church: Christian Fellowship Christian Center. She’s a mentor and steward member where she influences the next generation and vision of the ministry. Tiara believes in giving back and creating the belief in others they too can achieve their wildest dreams.
