Derrick Owens (At-Large Board Leader) is 1992 graduate of the University of Florida with a BA in Sociology.  He’s employed with the Florida Department of Corrections.  He’s a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and a member of CH Henry lodge #543 -PHA mason.  He’s married and has 3 adult children. He serves with ABA because he believes it’s a viable organization that can have a voice and presence on campus and in the Gainesville community.
