Dr. Christina Hawkins Kendrick graduated from the University of Florida in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and minor in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation. She then continued on her academic journey at University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine. After completing her doctorate she returned to her hometown Miami, Fl to begin her career as a small animal veterinarian. After several years in small animal general practice and emergency medicine, she has finally found her passion working for a non profit organization in community and shelter medicine. Dr. Hawkins Kendrick has always had a passion for mentoring and helping the next generation of students. In her new role as Vice President of Scholarships for ABA South Florida Chapter, she looks forward to connecting with future gators and helping them reach their academic goals at the Gator Nation.
